Privacy Policy

Overview

SnugGym respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Effective date: 2026-06-18

Analytics

SnugGym uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. This helps us improve content, identify popular topics, and fix issues.

Current status: GA4 implementation is deferred until domain transfer to the primary Cloudflare account is complete (scheduled for 2026-06-27). Until then, no analytics tracking is active.

When active, GA4 collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referral source (how you found SnugGym)
  • Device type and browser information
  • Approximate geographic location (city/region level, not precise location)
  • Scroll depth and click patterns (if enhanced measurement is enabled)

GA4 does NOT collect:

  • Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
  • Specific search queries within our site
  • Affiliate click-to-purchase correlation (Amazon does not share this data)

You can opt out of GA4 tracking by:

  • Using browser privacy features (Do Not Track)
  • Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
  • Blocking cookies in your browser settings

Cookies

SnugGym uses minimal cookies:

Cookie Type Purpose Duration
Essential Site functionality, navigation Session
Analytics GA4 visitor metrics (deferred) 14 months
Affiliate Amazon Associates link tracking 24 hours (Amazon's cookie)

Cookie consent: We will implement a cookie consent banner when GA4 is activated. Until then, only essential session cookies are used.

Data Collection

SnugGym does not directly collect personal data. We do not require accounts, login, or email subscription to access content.

What we do not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or mailing addresses
  • Phone numbers or payment information
  • Social media profiles or identifiers

Indirect data collection:

  • Server logs: Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard server logs including IP address, user agent, and requested pages. These logs are used for security and performance monitoring.
  • Contact form submissions: If you email us, we retain your email address and message content solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists without explicit consent.

Third-Party Services

SnugGym uses the following third-party services:

Service Purpose Data Shared
Cloudflare CDN, security, hosting Standard server logs
Google Analytics 4 Usage analytics (deferred) Anonymized usage patterns
Amazon Associates Affiliate links Click tracking via browser cookies

Amazon Associates privacy note: When you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon receives standard browser information and sets a tracking cookie. Amazon's privacy policy governs this data collection. SnugGym does not receive identifying information about clicks or purchases.

Data Retention

  • Server logs: Retained by Cloudflare per their standard retention policy (typically 12 hours for edge logs, longer for security events)
  • Email correspondence: Retained for 12 months after resolution, then deleted
  • Analytics data: Retained per GA4's default settings (14 months for user-level data)

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to any personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to data processing
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

To exercise these rights, contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this privacy policy when our data practices change. Significant changes will be noted with a revision date. Minor changes (typo corrections, clarifications) may not be separately announced.
